The Georgian National Tourism Administration has announced plans to invest approximately €1.8 million in promoting Georgia as a travel destination in the Middle East. The initiative will span 2026–2027, with €826,000 allocated for 2026 and €1,003,000 for 2027, as stated by public procurement documents.

The campaign focuses on strategic and high-growth markets, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE to enhance Georgia’s visibility and attract affluent tourists. The administration expects the campaign to stimulate visitor growth and strengthen Georgia’s position as a desirable travel destination in the region.

A wide range of marketing activities is planned, combining digital, traditional and B2B promotion:

  • Digital marketingacross platforms like Google, Meta, TikTok and Snapchat
  • Television advertisementsand print and online articles
  • Press toursand roadshows in eight key cities
  • Workshops, webinars and informational presentationsfor tourism sector professionals
  • B2B meetingsto strengthen connections with travel agencies and tour operators

Given the campaign’s scale and urgency, the services will be procured through a simplified procurement process, bypassing standard electronic tenders to avoid delays.

Tourism data shows the potential of the Middle Eastern market. In 2025, 136,824 visitors arrived in Georgia from these countries, generating $213 million in revenue. The new campaign, running from March 2026 to December 2027, is designed to build on this momentum and further increase Georgia’s share of the high-spending tourist segment.
