Georgia Reports 3965 New Cases, 43 Deaths

Georgia Reports 3965 New Cases, 43 Deaths

Georgia reported 3, 965 coronavirus cases, 4, 627 recoveries, and 43 deaths on Friday, the official figures show.

A total of 48, 513 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country.

As a result of the testing, Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1, 416 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 753 cases, and the Kakheti region with 427 cases.

Out of 3,965 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,416 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara – 161, Imereti – 753, Kvemo Kartli – 325, Shida Kartli – 290, Guria – 115, Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 271, Kakheti – 427, Mtskheta- Mtianeti – 78, Samtskhe-Javakheti – 95, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 34.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 8,17 %, while it was 8,94 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 711, 255, among them 652, 505 people recovered and 9, 961 died.

As of October 29, 1 970 109 people got the Covid-19 vaccine.
