Georgia Reports 1160 New Cases of Coronavirus, 20 Deaths

Georgia reported 1,160 coronavirus cases, 1,302 recoveries, and 20 deaths on Wednesday, the official figures show.

29,209 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country, including 10,186 rapid tests and 18,023 PCRs. The testing revealed that Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 588 Covid-19 cases, followed by the Imereti region with 113 cases and the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region with 110 cases.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4.11%, while it was 4.58% in the past 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases stands at 333,601, among them, 313,651 people recovered and 4,519 died. Presently, there are 15,431 active cases of infection in the country.

Currently, out of 918 critical patients, 218 require mechanical ventilation.

19, 97,153 people got the coronavirus vaccine so far.
