Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, has signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in tourism and information technology with Kazakhstan, following expanded-format talks between government delegations.
The Memorandum of Understanding on tourism cooperation aims to deepen bilateral collaboration, develop joint initiatives, and share tourism products and professional expertise, with the goal of strengthening tourism potential and increasing tourist flows between the two countries.
The Memorandum of Understanding on information technology cooperation covers the development of the digital economy, public digital services, and digital learning between Georgia and Kazakhstan. It also supports networking between Georgian and Kazakh startups and IT companies.
On behalf of Kazakhstan, Erbol Myrzabosynov, Minister of Tourism and Sports, and Jaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry, signed the documents.
The visit also saw Georgia and Kazakhstan elevate their relations to a strategic partnership level, with the joint declaration signed by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
