Eyewitnesses say a man stabbed a patrol police officer in the neck on Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue this evening.
Reports say the incident occurred after the officer ordered the driver to stop his vehicle. The man allegedly became agitated and attacked with a bladed weapon.
The injured officer has been taken to Ingorokva Clinic.
At the scene, forensic experts are conducting investigative procedures. Police have detained the suspected attacker.
