Tornike Rizhvadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, has announced his resignation in a statement shared on social media.
“I have made the decision to step down from my position as Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara,” Rizhvadze wrote. “After seven years in office, it’s time for a new chapter. I wish success to the next Chairman.”
In his message, Rizhvadze extended his gratitude to the founder of Georgian Dream, Bidzina Ivanishvili, for the opportunity to serve his region, as well as to Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and President Mikheil Kavelashvili for their support during his tenure. He also thanked his team, party members, and the public servants he worked alongside.
A special note of appreciation was directed to the people of Adjara for their trust and support. “I remain a loyal soldier of Georgian Dream and am confident that many more victories await us,” his statement concluded.
