The head of the National Center for Disease Control, Amiran Gamkrelidze, said that the epidemiological situation in the country has been deteriorating over recent days.
He also noted that the activity of citizens for vaccination is gradually increasing, although this rate is not satisfactory. Gamkrelidze notes that there is no shortage of vaccines in the country, however, there is a shortage of demand.
“Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation has been deteriorating in recent days. We have been on the plateau and for a week now, all indicators, the rate of incidents or new cases, the rate of positivity goes up. The only way to prevent this is through mass vaccination. Therefore, I once again call on the population to get vaccinated,” Gamkrelidze said.
