The amendments that are to be introduced to the Law on Sports aim at the regulation of anti-doping issues; the Draft Law, initiated by the Anti-Doping Agency was submitted to the Sports and Youth Issues Committee today.
As the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Medzmariashvili notes, the amendments are associated with the fulfillment of international commitments and thus, Article 51 is to be introduced to the Law.
As the Draft stipulates, the anti-doping uniform mechanism shall be established and assigned to the respective state agencies and the sports organizations, responsible for the enforcement thereof. As noted, the adoption and enactment terms of the amendments are restricted and hence, the author of the Draft appeals to the Bureau for expedited consideration.
