The Agrarian Issues Committee held an offsite sitting in Adjara, where the MPs heard the report of the activities carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara AR in 2021.
The Minister of Agriculture of Adjara AR, Zaza Shavadze dwelt upon the ongoing programs.
“The Ministry of Agriculture’s budget for 2022 is 20,905,049 GEL, an increase of 1,932,195 GEL from the budget for 2021. The Ministry of Agriculture will carry out a number of initiatives in 2022, including policy creation and management for the agro-food industry, sustainable agro sector development, advancement of agriculture through the use of highly effective technologies, restoration of reclamation systems, advancement of agro services in the area, encouragement of rural entrepreneurship, encouragement of citrus fruit development, environmental program, laboratory research service, etc,” the Minister stated.
