Police detain protesters on Rustaveli Avenue as demonstrations continue

Law enforcement officers have detained several more protesters on Rustaveli Avenue, where demonstrations are still underway.

Reportedly, protesters attempted to block the roadway, but police intervened and prevented them from doing so. A police cordon has been set up near the Parliament to stop further attempts to obstruct traffic.

Traffic movement on Rustaveli Avenue has now been restored, though the protest remains ongoing. Demonstrators continue to chant, “Fire to the oligarchy.”
