US President Donald Trump said he is confident the war between Russia and Ukraine will also come to an end. His remarks came after Israel and Hamas reached an agreement on the first phase of a peace plan for Gaza.
“I have already ended seven wars, and we are close to ending an eighth,” Trump told reporters. “I think we will ultimately resolve the situation with Russia too, which is a terrible tragedy. Just last week, 7,000 people died in the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. I believe we will put an end to this.”
The US president also emphasized that “no one in history has ended as many conflicts” as he has.
