The National Environment Agency has issued a warning about sustained high temperatures in Georgia, expected to continue through August 4. As meteorologists noted, temperatures in some areas may reach as high as 38–40°C.
The agency cautions that such extreme heat increases the likelihood of heat stress, especially among vulnerable groups, and creates favorable conditions for forest fires. The current danger level for fire risk is categorized as moderate.
Authorities urge the public to take precautions during the heatwave, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and remain alert to environmental safety advisories.
