The Parliamentary Temporary Investigative Commission examining the activities of the former National Movement government is referring the case of Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Commission Chairwoman Tea Tsulukiani announced during the session that the documents would be submitted to prosecutors by the end of the day.
The unanimous decision to refer the case was based on Gvaramia’s refusal to appear before the commission.
“Gvaramia was summoned for 10:00 a.m., but he failed to appear. He even publicly declared that he had no intention of attending. I want to clarify to both commission members and the public that he was officially notified in accordance with the law. Gvaramia himself acknowledged he was aware of the summons for April 8 at 10:00, and it’s clear he deliberately chose not to attend,” Tsulukiani stated.
