Gakharia: the more people come to elections, the fewer votes GD will steal

The more people will go to the elections, the less votes will be stolen by the “Georgian Dream” – the 2024 elections will not only be in the center of attention of our European and American partners, but will also be watched by the entire international community, – Giorgi Gakharia, the chairman of the political party Gakharia for Georgia said.

Gakharia was with the team in Martvil and Poti, where he met members of local organizations and supporters of the party. At the meetings, he spoke about local problems, challenges in the country, the importance of the 2024 elections and the need for citizens to participate in the elections.

“We started the election campaign. We have field meetings in the regions. We train the team, first of all, to know how to protect the voices. Securing votes will be one of the biggest challenges.

Unfortunately, today, especially after the adoption of this Russian law, it is a fact that “Georgian Dream” has already started the process of manipulating and falsifying the elections, although I am sure that they will not achieve results. They are trying, but there is a resource with which all of us will be able to defend our votes in the elections.

To be more specific, first of all, which is a necessary condition – everyone must go to the polling stations. The maximum number of voters, the more people come to the elections, the less opportunity the “dream” will have to steal votes. We will cooperate primarily with our international observers, whose role will be critically important, and share with them all information related to the election environment.

The 2024 elections will be the focus not only of our European and American partners, but also of the entire international community. These elections will be of great importance for the further democratic and European development of the country.

We are the only political party that has announced for a long time that we plan to participate in the elections and conduct a campaign independently. We are in this position today, despite the fact that all others sometimes unite, sometimes break up, different formats and platforms are created. Obviously, we are not against it, people and political forces have the right to make their own decisions. But at this stage, we will continue our election campaign independently”, said Giorgi Gakharia.
