Representatives of Alt-Info TV Company, an online information portal, and Conservative Party, rallied at the State Security Service (SSSG) building on Tuesday.
They objected to the summoning of a far-right activist and blogger with pro-Russian sentiments, Beka Vardosanidze, by the SSG, for interrogation and inspection of his personal computer.
Conservative Party leader Zurab Makharadze said Vardosanidze had criticized the Georgian Dream (GD) party Honorable Chairman Bidzina Ivanishvili, and named the developments a “political retribution.”
The SSSG summoned Beka Vardosanidze as part of the probe into a false claim of terrorism.
Earlier, the Security Service searched Vardosanidze’s house and garage and seized electronic devices.
