Environment Agency warns challenging meteorological conditions to persist until December 26

The National Environment Agency has reported that challenging meteorological conditions will persist in Georgia until the second half of December 26. These conditions include heavy snow, strong winds, fog, blizzards, slippery ice on highways, freezing on power lines, and a high risk of avalanches in mountainous regions. Additionally, a strong storm at sea, reaching up to six points, is anticipated.

Due to heavy snowfall, icy roads, reduced visibility, blizzards, and the risk of avalanches, traffic restrictions may be implemented on certain sections of highways. The agency also warns of potential landslide-flood processes in hilly areas due to heavy precipitation.
