Chairman of Georgian Dream Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the pardoning of Nika Gvaramia, director general of Mtavari TV noting if the President of Georgia pardons Gvaramia, it will be an insult to the institution of the President directly from the side of the President of Georgia.
“Salome Zurabishvili was insulted by Nika Gvaramia, who referred to her in such inappropriate terms. It was an insult not only to Zurabishvili personally but also to the President’s institution. If the President pardons Gvaramia under such circumstances, it will be an insult to the President’s institution directly by the President of Georgia, which I do not think is right,” said Kobakhidze.
For the record, the Court of Appeals left Nika Gvaramia in custody.
