Uchkho Canyon is Ready to Receive Tourists

Uchkho Canyon is ready to receive tourists. Guides and hikers together with instructors were the first to visit the canyon in Adjara. Extreme and adrenaline lovers climbed 12 cascading waterfalls with ropes, the highest of which is 30 meters high. The one-and-a-half-kilometer-long canyon of Uchkho gorge passes through a beautiful forest and it takes 4-5 hours to climb it on average.

Canyoning is a new tourism product in Adjara, which was implemented by the Tourism Product Development Agency of the Adjara Tourism Department within the framework of the ENPARD grant project. The canyon instructors have been specially trained for the project to help extreme tourism enthusiasts navigate the canyon safely. Those wishing to order tourist services can visit Adjara Tourist Information Centers.

Uchkho Gorge is located at 1000 meters above sea level in Khulo municipality. It is an average of 2-2.5 hours drive from Batumi. Khulo municipality is also distinguished by the variety of tourist products, where in addition to canyoning, more than 5 tourist routes are marked.
