თიბისის და FMO-ს პარტნიორობა – 210 მლნ აშშ დოლარი ბიზნესების და მწვანე ინიციატივების  მხარდასაჭერად

TBC has signed a US$210 million syndicated loan agreement with the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank FMO and a group of international financial institutions. The transaction represents FMO’s largest financing in Georgia and the wider region, underscoring international investors’ strong confidence in both TBC and Georgia’s financial sector.

The funding will be directed toward supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) across Georgia, with a particular focus on agriculture, regional development, and young entrepreneurs. In line with TBC’s sustainability strategy, 30% of the financing will be allocated to green initiatives, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to sustainable economic growth.

Alongside FMO, the transaction brought together both longstanding and new international financial partners of TBC, including Mashreq Bank, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD), Commerzbank, and the BlueOrchard Microfinance Fund (BOMF).

“We are delighted to have secured the largest syndicated financing in TBC’s history through our partnership with FMO and the participation of five leading international financial institutions. The entire facility will be dedicated to supporting micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. Our strategic objective is to remain the primary financial partner for the individuals and businesses that drive Georgia’s economy. This US$210 million agreement reflects the strong confidence international investors place in TBC as a stable and consistently growing financial institution,” said Giorgi Tkhelidze, CEO of TBC.

“We are proud that FMO served as the coordinating financial institution for this landmark transaction. Our continued cooperation with TBC reflects the strength of our long-term partnership and our confidence in Georgia’s financial sector. This US$210 million loan demonstrates our commitment to mobilizing private capital to support economic development across multiple sectors. Despite the challenging geopolitical environment, the successful completion of this transaction—with the participation of financial institutions from the Gulf region—highlights the region’s attractive investment opportunities,” said Huib-Jan de Ruijter, Co-Chief Investment Officer at FMO.

The signing ceremony took place at the TBC Concept Space and was attended by representatives of TBC, FMO, and the international banks participating in the transaction.
