Heavy rainfall caused flooding and traffic disruptions across several parts of Tbilisi on Monday, leaving a number of roads temporarily impassable.
Flooding was reported on Aghmashenebeli Alley, in the Gldani district, near Avlabari, and around the House of Justice, making travel difficult for motorists.
Authorities also temporarily closed Tamarashvili Avenue after heavy rain washed rocks and debris onto the roadway. Emergency crews and heavy machinery were deployed to clear the area.
Georgia’s Emergency Management Service said no injuries had been reported.
Videos shared on social media showed residents pushing stranded vehicles through flooded streets in different parts of the capital.
The Emergency Management Service said it was responding to incidents within its area of responsibility and confirmed that, so far, it had received no reports of injuries.
