The Government of Georgia has granted state property in Kutaisi to the Georgian Orthodox Church with the right of gratuitous usufruct for 99 years.
The relevant decree, published on the government’s website, concerns a 1,500-square-meter non-agricultural land plot located on the III lane of Youth Avenue in Kutaisi, along with a building currently under construction on the site.
Under the decree, the National Agency for State Property, which operates under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, has been authorized to conclude an agreement with the Patriarchate.
The agency has also been instructed to carry out further measures required under Georgian legislation.
