On Tuesday, April 16, from 12 noon, the protest rally “No Russian Law” will continue near the parliament building on Rustaveli. Monday’s rally closed a little over an hour after midnight, although a small number of rally participants remained in the area around Rustaveli Avenue. Police forces were also present at the scene.

The protest will be renewed in the morning in parallel with the continuation of the parliamentary discussion of the “Russian law.” On Monday, the Legal Affairs Committee of the Parliament of Georgia supported the Draft Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence after a 12-hour-long discussion.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 14 individuals were arrested on administrative charges by the police during the rally. The agency also stated that one employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was injured during the rally and received appropriate medical assistance.
