A public discussion on how gender stereotypes influence young people’s career decisions will take place on 12 December, bringing together youth, gender specialists and professional development experts. The interactive meeting, titled ‘Profession Has No Gender,’ will be led by facilitator Eleniko Rukhadze.

Organizers point out that career choices have long-term consequences for individuals’ financial independence, opportunities and overall well-being. For this reason, they stress the importance of making such decisions in an environment free from bias and restrictive norms.

Those interested in participating can register online and join the conversation which promotes equal and inclusive conditions for young people navigating their professional paths.

The event is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Sweden, as part of the UN Joint Programme on Gender Equality.
