The global container shipping index, which tripled in January 2024 due to the crisis situation in the Red Sea, is already showing a downward trend.
In December 2023, the index was at $1,521, which grew to $3,964 at the end of January, but the price began to decline in February, and in the first week of March, the index fell by about 17% compared to the January 25.
The index of container shipping is calculated by the British consulting company Drewry, which examines the prices of contracts signed on the market.
