Registration for teacher certification exams in Georgia has officially opened, with candidates able to apply through the online platform of the National Assessment and Examinations Center.
NAEC stated that applicants can complete registration at online.naec.ge until May 6, 2026, at 18:00. Candidates are also required to pay the examination fee between April 20 at 10:00 and May 4 at 18:00, with at least one exam fee paid to validate their application.
In a significant update introduced for 2026, teachers and prospective teachers are now allowed to register for up to three subject exams within the same cycle, replacing the previous single-subject limit. Candidates may also opt to take exams for senior special teacher status and basic professional skills.
NAEC noted that applicants cannot select subjects with identical or substantially overlapping test content, including cases where exam materials are translated into different languages but remain otherwise the same.
The fee for each exam is set at 50 GEL. Payments can be made through platforms operated by Bank of Georgia, including its online payment system, internet banking, mobile application and self-service terminals.
Candidates requiring special examination conditions must indicate this during registration and submit the relevant medical documentation (Form N IV-100a) to NAEC or an appropriate educational resource center by the May 6 deadline.
