Tbilisi’s Whisky Festival 2026: A Premium Platform Where Culture Meets Business

Tbilisi’s Whisky Festival 2026: პრემიუმ სეგმენტის პლატფორმა, რომელიც კულტურას და ბიზნესს აერთიანებს

Set to take place at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace, Tbilisi’s Whisky Festival 2026 is emerging as one of the region’s most influential platforms, bringing together the premium spirits industry, cultural context, and a high-value audience.

Moving beyond the traditional tasting format, the festival positions itself as a cultural, educational, and commercially relevant event, creating value for both brands and consumers.

Growth Trajectory and a Quality-Driven Audience

In previous years, the festival has hosted over 100 international and local brands. The 2025 edition attracted more than 3,000 visitors, including industry professionals, HoReCa representatives, and media.

Its premium pricing model ensures a filtered, targeted, and quality-driven audience, making it an effective platform for brands seeking meaningful engagement rather than mass exposure.

Cultural Integration as a Strategic Value

One of the festival’s key differentiators is its focus on cultural integration — connecting Georgian and Scottish traditions within a single platform.

Whisky in Scotland holds a cultural and historical significance comparable to wine in Georgia. By emphasizing this parallel, the festival creates added value for both local and international audiences.

In 2026, this direction is further strengthened with the introduction of a premium wine segment, positioning the event as a meeting point of two deeply rooted cultural products.

Global Expertise and Knowledge Exchange

The festival hosts internationally recognized speakers and brand ambassadors. Among them, for the first time, Burkay Adalığ, founder of Meleklerin Payı and a respected industry author, will join the event.

His two-day masterclass, “Journey into the World of Whisky,” offers a significant opportunity for knowledge sharing across both professional and enthusiast audiences.

Experience Economy: Culture as a Core Asset

The festival is positioned not only around product, but as part of the experience economy.

The event will open with a performance by the State Ensemble “Abkhazeti,” followed by a program blending Georgian and Scottish cultural elements — including folklore, traditional attire such as kilts, and live performances featuring percussion, violin, and saxophone.

This layered cultural dimension enhances emotional engagement and strengthens the festival’s international appeal.

Institutional Support

Tbilisi’s Whisky Festival 2026 is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia and Creative Georgia, underlining its cultural and economic significance.
