Tbilisi City Hall has announced plans for a large-scale sports and recreation complex in the Vake district, specifically on the Tskneti highway. The project, covering 7,272 square meters, is set to provide the capital with its first outdoor swimming pool equipped with a movable roof, alongside a wide range of modern sports and leisure facilities. The project will be overseen by the Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs which will manage both the development and future operations of the facility.

The City Hall stated that 4,494 square meters of the area will be dedicated to indoor spaces, including basketball courts, an indoor football field, two padel courts and a fitness center. Outdoor facilities will also feature a park-like environment with preserved greenery, designed to integrate recreation spaces with nature. A food facility will be incorporated into the complex.

Mayor Kakha Kaladze, who visited the site in the Bagebi settlement together with Deputy Mayor Andria Basilaia and Head of the Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Irakli Gvilava, said the center will serve as a modern and inclusive space for residents. He emphasized that environmental balance will remain a priority during construction.
