The National Food Agency (NFA) reported that school cafeteria operator Sisa LLC (Sisа) had its production process suspended in Tbilisi following an unplanned inspection that found critical hygiene violations.
The inspection was carried out by NFA’s Tbilisi Department after the agency received a consumer hotline complaint. Inspectors examined the cafeteria unit Sisa, operating at Public School No. 24 in the Chugureti district. The facility is located on 1 Baku Street.
The NFA stated that the violations qualified as a critical non-compliance with sanitary and hygiene standards. The business operator was fined and its production process was halted until the deficiencies are fully corrected. The NFA said it continues regular inspections of school and preschool food facilities and urged the public to report any suspected safety or hygiene breaches.
