Tbilisi International Airport wins five ACI passenger experience awards

Airports Council International (ACI) has recognised Tbilisi International Airport with five major passenger experience awards across Europe, placing it among the top-performing airports serving up to five million passengers annually.

ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey reported that Tbilisi Airport was named best in the following categories:

  • Most dedicated staff
  • Ease of travel
  • Most enjoyable airport
  • Best departure services
  • Cleanest airport

The awards are based on passenger feedback collected directly at airports, making the ASQ programme the only global benchmarking system that measures customer satisfaction in real time, during the travel journey itself. For the 2025 edition, ACI analysed data gathered over a two-year period and named top-performing airports in six categories worldwide. Tbilisi secured recognition in five of them.

The official ASQ awards ceremony will take place on 2 September 2026 in Istanbul at the ACI World Airport Experience Summit.

The recognition comes amid a period of record passenger growth. In response to increasing demand, the airport is preparing to launch a major expansion project that will raise annual passenger capacity to 10 million.

“We are proud that, despite unprecedented passenger growth, we have maintained high standards of customer experience and achieved international recognition. This reflects the daily, dedicated work of our team,” said Tea Zakaradze, General Manager of TAV Georgia, the company managing Tbilisi and Batumi airports.

Under a new agreement signed on 15 January 2026, the Government of Georgia extended the management contract of TAV Airports, a member of Groupe ADP. The agreement is worth US$150 million investment in the expansion of Tbilisi International Airport.
