Protesters of all ages are positioned at the top end of Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi, resting, while riot police wait near Parliament to remove them come dawn.

Some individuals continue to shoot fireworks their way intermittently or make noise, and in return tear gas is being used. The wind is not in the favor of the police today, however. When the gas does envelop the protesters, they are quick to help each other with a well-practiced hand and the right liquids to clear eyes and throats.

The weather also makes conditions harder for the demonstrators- tonight it is 4 degrees Celsius. They have lit fires in the street to warm themselves, and they gather together, calmly talking and joking. Some are playing musical instruments.

A number of kind local businesses and individuals have prepared warm food and drinks for fellow rally-goers, as they have done every night of rallying so far.

There is a real sense of community and unity, and no sense of fear of potential repercussions from the authorities. In short, they are confident that their mission is the right one: Georgia for Europe.
