The U.S. Representative Joe Wilson expressed his concerns regarding the current situation in Georgia, calling the ruling party “the illegitimate puppet government” and criticizing its “brutal” interventions on Georgian protesters.
“I urge immediate sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili and his Georgian Dream cronies. We cannot stand by and allow Georgia to fall into dictatorship against the people’s will,” Wilson said on X.
