Registration has officially opened for the qualifying round of the European Girls’ Olympiad in Informatics (EGOI) as part of the Georgian Tech Olympiads Hub initiative. The project is implemented with the general support of TBC Bank, which continues to actively promote the development of technological education and the empowerment of young people.

The Georgian Tech Olympiads Hub is responsible for selecting national teams to participate in international Olympiads. Following the qualifying stage, the Georgian national team will be formed. Selected students will undergo specialized training before representing Georgia at the international EGOI Olympiad in Italy.

EGOI is an international competition aimed at increasing girls’ participation in the fields of informatics and technology. The Olympiad brings together participants from more than 50 countries and supports the advancement of gender equality in STEM disciplines. During the competition, participants solve complex algorithmic problems that help develop their programming, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking skills.

The Georgian national team will compete in the Olympiad for the sixth time in 2026. In previous years, Georgian participants have achieved impressive results, winning a total of two gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

The Georgian Tech Olympiads Hub was established at the Business and Technology University (BTU) with the general support of TBC Bank. The hub aims to identify talented students, support their development, and prepare them to compete on the international stage.

Registration for the EGOI qualifying round is open until March 21.

Believing in your goals, interests, and abilities is the first step toward success. Through the knowledge gained in TBC Bank’s free educational programs—including TBC Tech School, TBC Campus, the IT Academy, the Tech Olympiads Hub, and the AI Student Club, as well as other educational opportunities—young people can create their first digital projects, discover their strengths, and start writing their own stories in the world of technology.
