Members and supporters of the United National Movement (UNM) gathered near the 12th penitentiary facility in Rustavi, where former President Mikheil Saakashvili is detained, demanding his release.
A stage has already been set up in the area, from where the speakers will address the protesters. At the same time, according to the opposition MP, Tako Charkviani, emigrants are also on the ground to support the former president.
Patrol police are mobilized on the spot.
Music is heard at the rally, including the song “Misha is Cool.”
