President of Turkey Congratulates Irakli Garibashvili on Becoming PM of Georgia

“On behalf of the Turkish people and myself, I cordially congratulate you on your appointment as the Prime Minister of friendly Georgia,” – Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey congratulated Irakli Garibashvili on becoming the Prime Minister of Georgia.

In the official congratulatory letter received by the Head of Government of Georgia, the President of the Republic of Turkey focuses on the significance of developing the strategic partnership with Georgia.

“On behalf of the Turkish people and myself, I cordially congratulate you on your appointment as the Prime Minister of friendly Georgia.

“You are well aware how highly we value the importance of political stability and territorial integrity of Georgia. A few days ago we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Georgia, which was the first country to open an embassy in Ankara.

“I am confident that with the support of Your Excellency, strategic partnership and exemplary respectable neighborly relations will continue and develop with Georgia in all areas. I have no doubt that our joint efforts will make a significant contribution to peace, stability and comprehensive cooperation in the region.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish Your Excellency good health and happiness, as well as the well-being of our friendly people of Georgia,” notes Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey in his congratulatory letter.
