The political party “Citizens” has nominated Levan Ioseliani as a candidate for Public Defender.
“Our party has made a very difficult decision, but I am deeply convinced that it is the right one for the country. We all see that there are only a few people in this parliament, maybe only one, around whom a consensus is possible. I want to present Leven Ioseliani as a candidate for public defender,” stated one of the leaders of the party, Aleko Elisashvili.
He noted that one of the important parts of the 12-point recommendations is to reach a consensus regarding the candidate of the ombudsman.
