“As we promised society, reference prices for medicines have been implemented from today. As a result, the cost of more than 800 chronic and oncological medicines will decrease by 40% on average,” wrote the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, on his Facebook page.
Initially, the reference prices were set for drugs for the treatment of chronic diseases, and gradually the price regulation mechanism will be extended to other medicines as well.
