Okriba bus station denies intercity fare increases

Okriba Bus Station has dismissed reports of rising intercity transportation fares, stating that ticket prices across all routes have remained stable with no recent increases.

In an official statement, the company clarified that fare-setting authority lies with individual transport operators, as defined by current legislation, and not with the bus station itself. Okriba emphasized that it neither determines nor enforces ticket prices, and has not observed any adjustments by operators to date.

The bus station added that it maintains regular communication with transport companies operating from its terminals and closely monitors developments related to passenger fares. Okriba stated that no operators have introduced higher prices on intercity routes.

At the same time, the company noted that it is currently offering promotional discounts on selected routes, with ticket prices reduced by up to 25%. These initiatives, Okriba said, are part of ongoing efforts to support passengers and keep travel affordable.
