“In 2008, we made a historic mistake that our enemies took advantage of. Today, the Georgian government is carrying out Moscow’s order and destroying Georgia’s path to Euro-Atlantic integration. I hope that the Georgian people will turn around these destructive trends”, Miriam Lexmann wrote on X.
For information, the heads of states and governments participating in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council, in the declaration of the Washington Summit of NATO, call on Russia to withdraw its forces from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia.
“We also call on Russia to withdraw all its forces from the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, which are stationed there without their consent,” the declaration reads.
It should be noted that in the declaration of the Washington summit, there is no record that Georgia will become a member of NATO.
