Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, met Masatsugu Asakawa, President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with Rachel Thompson, Executive Director of the ADB and Yingming Yang, Vice-President of the ADB for South, Central and West Asia within the scope the 57th Annual Meeting of the ADB held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia; Eugene Zhukov, Director General of the Central and West Asia Department of the ADB; Lesley Bearman Lahm, Country Director of ADB in Georgia and Asel Djusupbekova, Head of ADB Secretariat.
The ADB President once again highlighted the significance of holding the Annual Meeting of the Bank in Georgia and expressed gratitude to the Minister of Finance for organizing the global event at a high level.
As noted at the meeting, Georgia achieved significant progress in recent years in developing the economy in various directions, which has manifested itself in the economic growth of the country.
The Minister of Finance of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the ADB President for the support demonstrated to the county and expressed hopes that partnership will be eagerly pursued in future.
In addition, dignitaries reviewed the regional and multilateral cooperation within the overall context of the Annual Meeting of the ADB.
