Mikheil Saakashvili’s Letter to People of Kutaisi

Mikheil Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia, has published a new letter from prison, in which he addresses the people of Kutaisi.

“My dear, special people of Kutaisi. You know how I love you and love your city. I have huge plans for your city. I want you to return it to the status of the most important center and no longer have to refine abroad, but to have a multiplier income in your own home.

Now you have the greatest candidate – I met Khatia and thank you for giving her the first place and she must definitely win in the end, therefore I will win too and most importantly each of you.

Please be active, the fate of Georgia and each of you (each of us) is decided.

With love, Saakashvili,” reads the letter.

On October 1, Mikheil Saakashvili returned to Georgia and was arrested and transferred to prison. The former president was sentenced-in-absentia to imprisonment due to his connection with the case of Sandro Girgvliani and the beating of MP Valeri Gelashvili.

Today Saakashvili’s partner, Ukrainian politician Lisa Yasko has arrived in Georgia and plans to meet with Mikheil Saakashvili in Rustavi prison.
