“Made in Italy” Day to show off Italian creativity and products at Design Institute Tbilisi

From craftsmanship to technological innovation, from industrial machinery to automation systems, from agricultural and enogastronomical products to automobiles, fashion and design – Italian products are recognized as symbols of style, taste and quality.

The concept “Made in Italy” has become a real trademark, which indicates not only origin, but also a self-contained and unique identity.

Made in Italy Day, dedicated to Italian creativity and products, is celebrated on April 15 – the day Leonardo da Vinci, the great Italian artist, scientist, inventor and innovator and one of the greatest geniuses of mankind, was born.

On this day, an event organized by the Italian Embassy will be held at the Design Institute in Tbilisi, the main theme of which will be “Showcasing and promoting Italian production, cultural heritage and craftsmanship”.

Ambassador of Italy to Georgia Massimiliano D’Antuono will open the event, which will be attended by representatives of diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia, business and entrepreneurial circles.

Presentations of Italian entrepreneurs working in Georgia will be held: Design Institute lecturer, brand and packaging designer Jacopo Saleri will talk about the role of design and label in wine production; David Gugava, the representative of “Falezze” winery of the Veneto region, will share his experience in the field of viticulture and winemaking with the guests; the finalist of “Masterchef” Diego Butiglione, who won the sympathy of the Georgian television audience, will offer the guests a tasting of various Italian food products; Lika Kurtanidze, the founder of EliPlanet, will introduce the guests to biologically clean Italian products related to the Mediterranean diet.

Automobile production, which has become the pride of Italy, and Italian fashion, recognized as a symbol of elegance and quality all over the world, will also be presented at the event: An exhibition of Alfa Romeo cars and the collections of the famous shoe brand Geox and the historical brand Replay, represented in more than 50 countries, await guests.
