Longest Zip Line in Europe to be Arranged in Adjara, on Chirukhi Mountain

The longest zip line in Europe will be arranged in the Adjara region. The Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara says the 1750-meter-long two-lane zip line will be built on Chirukhi Mountain, at 2000 meters above sea level, which will create a new tourist attraction in the Shuakhevi Municipality.

Based on the project prepared by the Tourism Product Development Agency of the Adjara Tourism Department, the upper station of the zip line will be located at 2400 meters height, while the lower station will be located at the elevation of 2060 meters.

In addition to the eagle-shaped, 10-meter-high zip line station, visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of Chirukhi.

Tourist infrastructure will be arranged at the lower station of the zip line, where it is planned to set up recreation areas and food facilities.

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Adjara plans to spend 10 million GEL for the arrangement of zip line and tourist infrastructure in Chirukhi mountains.
