Following his visits to Adjara and Guria, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze traveled to Imereti to assess the aftermath of severe weather conditions. Speaking to journalists, he said that five municipalities were facing considerable challenges.
“There are several isolated villages where communication remains impossible,” Kobakhidze stated, adding that while many areas still have limited access, local authorities and emergency services are making efforts to reach them through alternative routes.
Power outages are still an unsolved concern, but restoration efforts are underway. “Electricity supply has already been restored in many locations, and we are working to ensure that all affected subscribers regain power as soon as possible,” he said.
Despite current difficulties, Kobakhidze pointed out that the situation is gradually improving. “Operations are in full swing, and we are seeing progress hour by hour. The main priority is to keep emergency headquarters fully mobilized in the coming days,” he concluded.
