Kaladze: Undergoing Medical Examinations, Working Remotely

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze is currently undergoing medical examinations in one of the clinics in Tbilisi, he posted on his Facebook page.

This way, he answers the questions and rumors regarding his passive participation in politics.

His Facebook post as follow:

“Friends, I received a lot of messages from both my acquaintances and complete strangers about where I am and why I am not active.

“I feel obliged to provide further information: I have been diagnosed with Vertebrobasilar Syndrome and Vestibulopathy. That is why I am in one of the clinics in Tbilisi for medical examinations.

“I am working remotely and continue the treatment. I wanted you to get this information from me. Till we meet again.”

Vertebrobasilar insufficiency is a condition characterized by poor blood flow to the posterior portion of the brain, which is fed by two vertebral arteries that join to become the basilar artery. Blockage of these arteries occurs over time through a process called atherosclerosis, or the build-up of plaque.
