Iran’s armed forces are prepared to deliver a “deserved response” to any act of aggression, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said on social media against the backdrop of escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Ghalibaf claimed that Iran is prepared for all possible scenarios and remains ready to respond if threatened.
“Wrong strategies and wrong decisions always lead to wrong outcomes — the whole world has already realized this. We are prepared for all scenarios; they will be surprised,” the Iranian parliament speaker stated.
His remarks come after US President Donald Trump dismissed Iran’s recent proposal aimed at ending the conflict, calling it “unacceptable” and “nonsense.”
Trump also warned that there was only a very small chance of maintaining the ceasefire between the two sides, signaling growing uncertainty over diplomatic efforts to ease tensions.
The exchange of statements comes amid renewed concerns over regional stability, as both Washington and Tehran continue to trade warnings while negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program remain deadlocked.
