Ian Kelly: Georgia’s EU Candidacy Is in GD’s Hands, Not the Opposition’s

Ian Kelly, the former US Ambassador to Georgia, claims that the Georgian Dream party must secure Georgia’s EU candidacy. He argues that the EU’s 12-point recommendations must be implemented by the Georgian Dream as quickly as feasible.

A tweet claiming that the Georgian opposition is attempting to only debate the country’s EU goal when Georgian Dream is removed from office received a response from the former US ambassador to Georgia.

“Then GD should make every good-faith effort to prove them wrong,” Ian Kelly replied.

“Georgia’s EU candidacy is in GD’s hands, not the opposition’s. Use your majority to pass the 12-point plan now,” he highlighted.
