The average export price of Georgian snails increased by 61% in January–April 2026, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia said.
In the first four months of 2026, Georgia exported 226 tons of snails worth $479,000. In the same period last year, exports amounted to 54 tons worth $71,000.
Overall, the quantity increased four times (319%), while export value rose by 576%.
Most exports in 2026 went to Turkey, which imported 198 tons, and France, which imported 28 tons.
Snail exports have been growing annually. In 2025, exports reached 571 tons, 2.1 times higher than in 2024.
