Georgia continued to increase its imports of secondhand clothing in the first eleven months of 2025, with official data pointing to a notable rise in value and a marginal increase in volume. Between January and November, the country imported used apparel worth $41.6 million, amounting to 10,690 tons.

Compared with the same period in 2024, when imports totaled $36.7 million and 10,498 tons, the value of secondhand clothing imports grew by 13.3% while volumes rose by just 1.8%. The disparity between value and volume growth suggests an increase in average import prices for used apparel over the past year.

Turkey remained Georgia’s largest supplier, accounting for more than two-fifths of total imports. During the reporting period, Georgia imported $17.7 million worth of secondhand clothing from Turkey, equivalent to 4,226 tons.

The United States ranked as the second-largest supplier, exporting $6.1 million worth of used clothing to Georgia, followed by the Netherlands with $3.7 million. Other significant source countries included the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, each contributing substantial volumes to the Georgian market.

Additional imports came from Belgium, Poland, Italy, and Oman.
