The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained 13 individuals in connection with the events that took place in Tbilisi on October 4. Deputy Minister Aleksandre Darakhvelidze announced this at a briefing, adding that two other suspects remain at large.
Darakhvelidze claimed that the investigation is being conducted by the Central Criminal Police Department under Articles 317, 222, 225 and 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
“At the initial stage, law enforcement officers identified 15 individuals involved in the crime. Based on a court ruling, 13 have already been detained: T.M., A.N., D.Zh., B.M., A.G., E.Sh., G.R., V.P., D.S., M.M., A.Kh., K.M. and S.M. Two individuals are currently in hiding, and police are carrying out operational and investigative measures to determine their whereabouts and ensure their detention,” Darakhvelidze said.
He emphasized that the Ministry continues investigative actions to identify other participants and hold them criminally responsible.
