The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, went on a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium, Brussels.
The head of the Government will participate in the forum organized by the European Commission – “Global Gateway Forum 2023”.
“Global Gateway” is a European strategy aimed at improving secure connections in the digital, energy and transport sectors, as well as strengthening health, education and research systems around the world.
“Global Gateway” fully complies with the UN 2030 Agenda, Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement. The goal of the strategy is to mobilize up to 300 billion euros of investments to finance priority areas.
The “Global Gateway” brings together both the EU and its Member States, as well as financial and development institutions, to mobilize the private sector to leverage investment for transformative impact.
Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will be the main speaker at the working panel held within the framework of the forum – “Transport Corridors”.
The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen invited the Prime Minister of Georgia to participate in the forum.
